Red Bay, Ala. - Red Bay WellCare Center will offer a series of classes this summer. Water Aerobics classes will be offered at the City Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition, Justin Cox (Red Bay WellCare's Fitness Specialist) will offer Boot Camp Classes on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Water aerobics is a low-impact class for all age and skill levels, 14 years and older. You do not have to swim to participate. Instead, classes involve water walking, jogging, and others water activities to provide cardiovascular and resistance exercises. Classes are 45 minutes in length.
Boot Camp is a 30-45 minute class, offered outdoors, that will involve strength conditioning using body weight and free weight equipment. The class will include a cardiovascular component with increased repetitions of activities and some intermittent running. The class can be modified to all age and skill levels, 14 years and older.
