Sepsis Program to Be Presented at Helen Keller Hospital

Sheffield, Ala. - Helen Keller Hospital and Healthy Valley Women will present "Sepsis Awareness: How Infection Can Kill" at the Keller Wellcare Center on Tuesday, September 26 at 12 p.m.

Dr. Laurence Carmichael will speak on the importance of understanding the signs and symptoms of sepsis. Helen Keller Hospital recently received Gold Star Certification for Sepsis Protocols by the Joint Commission. Also, September is Sepsis Awareness Month.
