Helen Keller Hospital Presents Sepsis Awareness Program



Sheffield, Ala. - Helen Keller Hospital will present "Sepsis Awareness - How Infection Can Kill" on Thursday, May 21 at 12 p.m. This program is to educate the public on this nationwide epidemic that affects 750,000 people in the United States each year. Dr. Bill Meckes, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Helen Keller Hospital, will present this informative program.

"The purpose of this program is to teach our community what sepsis actually is and what to look for," said Dr. Meckes. "We are seeking to educate people on how we at Helen Keller Hospital have developed sepsis protocols and what those protocols mean."
