North star employees ended their calls Thursday, and Lauderdale EMS took over as the ambulance service provider for Lauderdale County. * View the WAFF feature on the new LAUDERDALE EMS Ambulance Service Keller EMS Relocates Muscle Shoals Station The Muscle Shoals Station for Keller Emergency Medical Services opened the doors at its new location on Thursday, May 29, 2008, with an open house beginning at 4:30 pm. Located at 1901 Gusmus Avenue, the EMS station is just behind the Muscle Shoals Police Department.“We are pleased to have been able to acquire such a good location,” says William H. Anderson, President and CEO for the Colbert County-Northwest Alabama Healthcare Authority, the governing board for Keller EMS. “We have maintained a Muscle Shoals station for many years, allowing our paramedics closer proximity for emergency responses or non emergency transports in the east end of Colbert County.” Read more... Keller Breaks Ground on Surgery Pavilion Helen Keller Hospital leads the way in bringing premier healthcare to Northwest Alabama and the surrounding area, with construction of the Keller Outpatient Surgery Pavilion. The 16,571 square foot facility will be located on the south side of the Hospital campus, with its main entrance on Hobson Street in Tuscumbia.
“The Keller Outpatient Surgery Pavilion will provide convenience for our surgeons and the patients we serve,” according to William H. Anderson, President and CEO of the Hospital. Read more... |
