Keller Employee Receives Quality Designation

Sheffield, Ala. - Helen Keller Hospital employee LeAnn Crenshaw recently passed the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification examination. LeAnn is the first person at HKH to obtain this designation.

The goal of the CPHQ is to promote excellence and professionalism by documenting individual performance as measured against a predetermined level of knowledge about quality in the following areas:

Strategic and operational roles in management and leadership

Information management, including design and data collection, measurement and analytics, and communication

Performance/quality measurement and improvement, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, and training

Strategic and operational tasks in patient safety.

"LeAnn is a valuable member of or Quality Management team", said Rebecca Michael, Director of Quality Management at Helen Keller Hospital. "In her role as Performance Improvement Coordinator, LeAnn facilitates quality and patient safety improvement initiatives while assisting clinical leaders with data collection and analysis. This certification affirms that she has the skills, knowledge, and experience necessarily to perform competently.
