Hood Completes Emergency Preparedness Certificate


Sheffield, Ala.- Ronda Hood, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services and Safety for Helen Keller Hospital, recently completed the Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professional (HEPP) Certificate Program. This program is offered through the University of South Alabama.

Hood voluntarily participated in the 11 month online course from July 2015-June 2016. In this time, she completed more than 250 hours of instruction, research, and practical application to further her capabilities to prepare and respond to emergencies and all-hazards events within healthcare settings, in particular at Helen Keller Hospital.

Throughout the course, Hood demonstrated dedication and excellence in advancing her knowledge and awareness of emergency preparedness through her participation and completion of assignments.
